Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Amherst, VA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with students across various grade levels, providing essential speech therapy services to support their communication and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapy Services: Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students, focusing on enhancing their communication abilities and supporting their academic progress.
  • Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech therapy into each student's educational program.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and re-evaluations, while tracking student outcomes.
  • IEP Participation: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold an active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
  • Education: Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills are essential.
