Caseload: K-6th Grade
Pay Rate: $48 - $52 per hour
Tentative Start/End Dates: November 2024 April 2024 (Possibility of extension through end of 2024-2025 School Year, ending June 13, 2025)
Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at an elementary school in Sylmar, California. This full-time position is focused on supporting students in grades K-6th, developing behavior intervention plans and working closely with school staff to create positive educational experiences for students with behavioral needs. There is a possibility of extending the contract through the end of the 2024-2025 school year, depending on performance and district needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students in K-6th grade.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school administrators to implement and monitor interventions.
- Provide training and support to school staff on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Monitor and collect data on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure student success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to student behavioral goals and plans.
- Offer consultation and guidance on best practices for creating a positive behavioral environment in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and data collection methods.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
