DevOps Engineer

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The role involves shaping our DevOps culture and practices, with a primary focus on our Microsoft Azure platform. The successful candidate will drive our cloud-based initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency in our cloud operations. This role is an onsite position 3 days a week in the King of Prussia, PA area. Please apply directly for consideration.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead cloud-based infrastructure, primarily focusing on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
• Automate financial governance practices to optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency.
• Deploy and manage serverless and event-driven architectures, ensuring efficient scaling, automation, and maintenance of services.
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring rapid, secure, and reliable delivery of services.
• Enhance development efficiency by automating build, test, and deployment processes using industry best practices.
• Implement infrastructure as code practices, focusing on using Bicep for Azure deployments.
• Manage Azure DevOps Services, including user access, permissions, and project setup.
• Update pipelines, boards, and repositories to streamline development workflows, while automating the Azure DevOps platform for SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) implementation.
• Implement and manage robust monitoring solutions to ensure high performance and availability of cloud environments.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with development, InfoSec, compliance, and operations teams to address infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
• Provide DevOps and Azure DevOps support, assisting teams with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in cloud environments.
• Enforce cloud security best practices and governance policies, ensuring adherence to financial industry regulations.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps methodologies, and security advancements to continuously improve the cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Azure Pipelines is a must for successful execution of tasks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure is essential for managing cloud services.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is required for efficient development operations.
• Practical experience with Docker is crucial for containerization processes.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka is needed for real-time data streaming.
