Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Nurse to join our team in Florence, KY. This full-time, on-site position will provide essential healthcare services to students and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment. The ideal candidate will be mitted to promoting the health and well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.

  • Administer medications and treatments to students following physician orders and district policies.

  • Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) and ensure necessary acmodations are in place.

  • Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) and follow up on referrals.

  • Maintain accurate student health records, including immunization records and emergency contact information.

  • Work with school staff to create individualized health plans for students with special medical needs.

  • Educate students and staff on health topics like disease prevention, wellness, and healthy habits.

  • Collaborate with parents and healthcare providers to ensure continuous care for students with ongoing health conditions.

  • Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for the school.

  • Ensure pliance with health regulations and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.

  • CPR and First Aid certification required.

  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with children with special needs or chronic health conditions.

  • Familiarity with school health screening processes and state health requirements.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
