Mixing Technician

The Mixer Operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with customer and internal specifications. This includes weighing materials, cleaning the mixing area, and troubleshooting any mixing problems. Additionally, the Mixer Operator will perform any other tasks deemed necessary by the Manager or Group Leader.
Responsibilities- Review Mixing Schedule
- Produce batches in mixer, as scheduled
- Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use
- Dump batches from mixers
- Communicate with the previous mixerman to discuss any irregularities or special instructions
- Produce standard production batches by following the Mixing Procedure
- Notify Group Leader and QA of any abnormalities
- Maintain correct identification on batches
- Complete necessary paperwork correctly and timely, including batch tickets and mixing dump reports
- Inform Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, drums, or raw materials, as well as any safety or maintenance concerns
- Mixing, Batching, Compounding, Chemical Handling
- Machine operation experience
- Forklift operation
- Batch production and documentation
- 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working in a facility with strong odors
- Ability to pass a skills key test and audiogram test
- Prior industrial cleaning or good housekeeping experience is a plus
- Forklift experience is optimal
- Chemical manufacturing experience is beneficial

Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a chemical plant focused on automotive material production. The work environment is climate-controlled with exposure to manufacturing operations such as moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. Safety PPE, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds, will be provided. Shifts are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with potential overtime based on business needs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
