We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in south Denver. As a crucial member of our team, you will be involved in a range of accounting tasks from processing invoices to preparing cash account reconciliations. This role is well-suited for individuals skilled in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.


Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing vendors.

• Oversee the daily processing and verification of invoice coding.

• Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills in compliance with departmental procedures.

• Assist with the handling of AP statements and request copies of any missing invoices when necessary.

• Undertake accurate general ledger entries for all monthly cash, credit card and sales transactions, ensuring alignment with the POS system.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for cash and credit card related accounts, ensuring correct recording and posting to the appropriate general ledger accounts.

• Communicate weekly and monthly sales to brand license locations as per each license agreement.

• Conduct monthly verification of the revenues recorded against the monthly report from the POS system.

• Create revenue and royalty reports as required.

• Process monthly sales tax returns.

• Prepare cash account reconciliations and audits.

• Assist with the provision of documentation and support for the annual audit.

• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

• Candidate must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Must have experience with General Ledger maintenance and management
• Should be well-versed in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries
• Experience with month-end close processes is required
• Familiarity with NetSuite financial software is a plus
• Experience with Oracle financial software is highly desirable
• QuickBooks proficiency is expected
• Knowledge and experience with SAP financial software is beneficial
