About the Position:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Counselor to join our team in Romeoville, IL, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position will focus on providing emotional, academic, and social support to students, helping them navigate their educational journey and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling, a commitment to fostering a supportive school environment, and a passion for student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students academic, social, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement programs to support student mental health, conflict resolution, and positive decision-making
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a cohesive support network
• Assist in academic planning, including course selection, goal setting, and career readiness
• Respond to and manage crisis situations, providing support and referrals as needed

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
• Valid Illinois School Counselor certification
• Previous experience in a school counseling role preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
