Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor

Role Description:

We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor for a part- to full-time remote role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various types of surveys, including topographic surveys, land surveys, total station surveys, building surveys, and other general surveying tasks. The Land Surveyor will be expected to utilize advanced surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS, perform research, and perform precise calculations and data analysis using industry-standard tools and software. This position allows for a flexible, hybrid remote work schedule with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographic, land, total station, building, and other general surveys as required

• Utilize survey equipment including total stations, GPS, and other advanced tools

• Perform data collection, analysis, and calculations to support surveying efforts

• Read and interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings

• Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to complete projects

• Prepare detailed reports, plans, and other documentation as necessary

• Perform research and review legal documents for boundary determination and survey accuracy

• Provide technical advice to clients or project teams based on survey findings

• Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations regarding surveying

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Ohio is required

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Engineering, or a related field

• Extensive experience in conducting land, building, and topographic surveys

• Proficient in the use of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and robotic instruments

• Familiarity with surveying software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other industry tools

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maps, and blueprints

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in both office and field settings

• Experience in the construction industry is a plus

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
