Job Opportunity: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Contract)

Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time contract position in Muskogee, Oklahoma. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all requirements set by local and state regulations and possess a passion for working with special education students and their families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education in Oklahoma, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher, with a strong preference for experience with special education students and families.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
  • Provide differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs, utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student success in inclusive classroom settings.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, analyze data, and make data-driven instructional decisions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress, discuss goals and strategies, and address concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEP meetings, and communication with stakeholders.
