Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an entry-level Accountant in Newark, New Jersey. The role involves performing accounting functions within the industry, utilizing various software systems. You will be expected to contribute to cross-functional teams and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, maintaining the financial health of the organization.
• Use Accounting Software Systems and other tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Dynamics NAV to manage accounting entries.
• Ensure accurate account coding and reconciliation of accounts to prevent discrepancies.
• Offer support to other departments, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Apply effective ERP solutions to streamline financial operations.
• Conduct account analysis to identify trends and financial status.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Leverage your knowledge of accounting functions to contribute to the team and help in areas beyond your immediate role.
• Participate in virtual and in-person meetings and interviews as required.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present financial data.• Possess skills in Account Coding and Account Analysis
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and ERP Solutions
• Ability to perform Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions
• Experience in Account Reconciliation
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
