Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking a Plastics Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and improvements for a leading supplier in the rail, construction, and heavy truck industries.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar engineering field

  • Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing experience

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other Lean tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Solidworks and AutoCad experience

  • General knowledge or experience with thermoforming, reaction injection molding (RIM), compression molding (SMC), material testing, assembly, and bonding

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document process, tooling, and new product development for thermoformed products

  • Optimize productivity, reduce cycle time, improve quality, reduce scrap, and operating costs through continual process improvement

  • Initiate and assist with capital improvement projects through new equipment purchase or facility modification

  • Develop and monitor training plans to ensure personnel are versed in new process requirements



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
