Job Description

TEKsystems is partnering with an end-client on a Network Transformation across 500+ locations. The project will consist of supporting a variety of install projects ranging from small sites of 5-10 users to larger office locations of 1000+ users and all of the infrastructure supporting each site. As the network changes start to happen, there will be an increased need of support for over 40,000 employees across the State of Arizona.

The Network Refresh Technicians will be responsible for deploying the network equipment on site at the State Agency locations. On a normal scheduled migration night, techs will coordinate and work with the Lumen Engineering teams and NOC to remove the existing equipment, install, turn up and test the new equipment to ensure functionality. Techs will be responsible for keeping documentation on the install itself, and communicate effectively with PMs and NOC team to ensure a smooth cutover.

 

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professionalism and great communication are paramount, this is a customer-facing role with State of Arizona agency employees. Must be flexible to travel and work primarily off-hours type of work for the cutovers.

Work Environment

Team size will be about 15 technicians. Each site/project will have a determined amount of techs, based on size. Could be working solo on a small site, or with 4-5 other techs on a larger site.

Lumen is embarking on a new phase of their managed services contract supporting the State of Arizona network. With the new phase of managed services, comes a Network Refresh initiative to replace aging infrastructure across all physical agency locations.
