Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Gasport, NY

Job Details:

  • Start/End Date: 9/3/2024 6/27/2025 (tentative dates, will follow school calendar).
  • Hours per Week: 35 (8am 3:30pm, M-F)
  • Caseload:
    • Grades: K-5th
    • Classifications: ED, OHI, LD, SLI, MD, ID
    • Caseload Numbers: Approximately 18-20 students
    • Daily Documentation: Completed on Frontline, IEP Direct, using Related Service logs application.
      • Needs to be able to complete quarterly progress summaries, annual reviews, and tri-annual evaluations.
  • Required Credentials/Non-Negotiables: State requirements. In-person only, non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address various communication disorders.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, collaborating with teachers and families to optimize students' learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and monitor student progress.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
