School Psychologist Full-Time

Location:Barrington, Illinois

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full or part timeposition within school districts in the Barrington, Illinois area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the academic, emotional, and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing issues such as learning difficulties, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment and develop strategies for student success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide recommendations for instructional and behavioral strategies.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during emergency situations.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and contribute to ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Illinois School Psychologist certification.
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and psychological services.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of psychological issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
