Job Title: MiTek Truss Designer (Single-Family Projects)

We are seeking a talented MiTek Truss Designer with a focus on single-family projects to join our dynamic team.

Position: MiTek Truss Designer

Job Type: Full-time

MiTek Truss Designer (Single-Family Projects) Responsibilities:

• Design roof and floor trusses for single-family homes.

• Utilize MiTek software for 3D visualization of plans and buildings.

• Navigate Windows Explorer with server and folder knowledge.

• Size and specify Engineered Wood Products (EWP) for load analysis.

• Specify hangers for truss-to-truss and truss-to-beam connections.

• Collaborate with sales and production teams to address queries and concerns.

• Ensure the quality and accuracy of designs with support from a Design Administrator and Design Analyst.

• Coordinate with fellow designers to optimize material usage.

• Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and team members.

• Assist with technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

MiTek Truss Designer (Single-Family Projects) Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in truss design.

• Proficiency in MiTek software is essential.

• Familiarity with Google Suite.

• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Experience with CAD or architectural design is beneficial.

• Ability to interpret construction documents.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
