Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a pediatric multispecialty clinic. This role primarily involves front office duties, including patient check-in and check-out, patient registration, and rooming pediatric patients. The candidate must be comfortable working with pediatric patients and be proficient in using EPIC EMR software on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Perform patient registration and scheduling.
  • Engage in light patient-facing duties, including rooming pediatric patients.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR software daily.
  • Obtain prior authorizations as needed.
  • Perform data entry tasks.
Essential Skills
  • 2-3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience.
  • Certification as RMA or CCMA (consideration for those in the process of renewing their certification).
  • Experience with EPIC EMR software.
  • Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior authorization experience.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • Patient scheduling experience.
Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced clinic environment, catering to pediatric patients undergoing surgeries and procedures. The candidate must be comfortable working with difficult families and upset patients at times. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
