HVAC Technician

Please note that this job requires travel within and around Dalton, GA. You will be provided with a company van and tools to maintain multiple commercial properties.

Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions (LHH) is partnering with a leading building services company to fill their open HVAC Technician job in Dalton, GA. To qualify, you must have at least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar HVAC role. This is a DIRECT HIRE job opportunity where you will earn between $18.00 and $50.00 per hour, depending on your level of previous experience. You will also be eligible for this company’s benefits package (details below).

Responsibilities:
-Replace or repair compressor and condenser units.
-Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools.
-Join tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings, or unions, and solders joints, using torch, forming complete circuit for refrigerant.
-Repair or replace motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating-ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source.
-Repair leaks, leak test & add Freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure on all systems.
-Replaces defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units, using electrician's hand tools and test equipment.
-May repair and service air-conditioners, ranging from one or more tons cooling capacity.
-Professionally maintain company provided tools and vehicles.
-Work safely, drive safely and courteous, reports safety hazards, and make suggestions to improve safety.
-Maintain good attendance and productivity.
-Possess good time management, organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.
-Demonstrate commitment, dedication, cooperation, positive teamwork, flexibility and adaptability while in the workplace.

Qualifications:
-At least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role
-Excellent attention to detail
-The ability to travel locally for work
-Class I and II certification required
-EPA Universal certification preferred
-Previous experience with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
-Must possess a driver’s license in good standing
-Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards and Company safety policies

Schedule:
-Generally Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
-You will be able to create your own schedule and route depending on which buildings you need to service
-Some weekends may be required
-Overtime hours may be required

Compensation:
-Hourly rate between $18.00 and $50.00, depending on your level of previous experience
