We are currently hiring Machine Operators for our client in Beaver Dam Candidates who have machine operator experience are encouraged to apply. Apply now for a chance to be considered.

Pay: $18.44 - $23.68 per hour 

Location: Beaver Dam, WI

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F

BASIC FUNCTION:

Sets up and operates a variety of equipment to perform various machine functions utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials and shop math.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or when necessary on the job training is used.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, plant rules and policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Essential Functions:
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, machining methods and sequence.
  • Places the springs into the baskets for painting according to the work orders requirements. 
  • Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling attachments and work piece on machine.
  • Selects and installs cutting tools in machine spindle. 
  • Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work pieces and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed and feed.
  • Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
  • Stops machine to change cutting tools and set up according to required machining sequence, or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
  • Makes boxes and packages springs for placement into inventory.
  • Checks springs for proper size and dimension as needed.
  • Strips springs according to the work order requirements.
  • Responsible for keeping area and equipment in good clean operating condition.
