LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our clients team. In this role, you will assist the General Counsel in managing corporate governance, business initiatives, and enhancing the efficiency of the legal department. You will be responsible for managing legal notices, coordinating testimony requests, preparing discovery responses, and preparing investigators for hearings and depositions. Additionally, you will support the legal department with legal research, multi-state legal matters, insurance renewals, and corporate compliance at the state level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage service of process documents, including subpoenas and garnishment writs.

  • Ensure timely processing and proper storage of legal documents in line with established procedures.

  • Prepare investigators for court appearances and depositions.

  • Work closely with the General Counsel and external counsel to prepare responses to non-party subpoenas.

  • Conduct legal research on various issues, including contracts, labor, and employment matters.

  • Collaborate with the insurance company to manage commercial insurance renewals and Certificates of Insurance (COIs).

  • Assist in reviewing, comparing, editing, executing, and filing contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Organize and track the status of litigation matters, including filing and maintaining case documents.

  • Maintain legal department databases and file systems.

  • Conduct semi-annual reviews of state business licenses to ensure compliance.

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

  • Manage incoming calls and correspondence, identifying and prioritizing critical actions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines.

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access).

  • Experience with online legal research tools such as LexisNexis and PACER.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.

  • Analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program (preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house corporate department.

  • Must reside in Florida

Salary: $80,000-$90,000/yr.
