Caseload: K - 12th available

Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to fill a position in a Marcola school district This is a full-time contract position with weekly pay. You would assist school students for the 24/25 school year The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who can create individualized learning plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and collaborate with other staff members and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Ability and flexibility to move classrooms within district
  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Coordinate with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Active ORSPED License
  • Severe Disabilities license (or experience) preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $34-$40. Pay range dependent on experience/school district budget.
