Position: Senior Plumbing Designer/Mechanical Engineering Firm

Job description

6 or more years related experience

Associates Degree or Advanced Technical Training

Performs and is responsible for a variety of moderate to complex design work including equipment and system sizing calculations with minimal supervision, exercising considerable latitude and independent judgment. Develops original designs or adaptations requiring specialized experience. Resolves undefined details, prepares layouts, drawings and designs. May serve as a lead to other designers and delegates tasks to junior level designers under his or her direction. Mentors junior designers and assists the department head in staff development. Is responsible. for final equipment selection and specification writing associated with the systems selected. Reports directly to the department head.

Performs construction administration activities, including site visitations and related documentation, information request responses and development of document modifications.

Is responsible for client contact, coordination and communications related to specific projects.

Performs design related work on CAD/BIM workstations and is knowledgeable in program operations and office Standards. May generate design drawings for CAD/BIM drafting if resources are available.

Performs general office duties and file maintenance as may be required by the firm.

Revit/CAD Experience.

Demonstrates knowledge of design standards and techniques.

Demonstrates an ability to read and understand building system plans.

Demonstrates an understanding of different mechanical, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

We work from 7:30 am to 5:30 am Monday thru Thursdays, and Fridays 8 to 12.
