Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling pumps for gas applications from start to finish. This role involves working independently at a personal workbench, following blueprints, and using various hand and power tools. The assembly process includes completing sub-assemblies and building crates for shipping the finished products. The size of the finished products ranges from desktop computer size to the size of the workbench, with overhead cranes available for lifting larger pumps.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble gas pumps from start to finish using blueprints.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete sub-assemblies.
  • Build crates for shipping the finished products.
  • Lift and handle finished products, using an overhead crane for larger items.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in all assembly tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Mechanical inclination with 6+ months of experience.
  • Capability to stand for the entire shift and occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attendance and positive attitude.
  • Experience with complex assembly tasks, such as building furniture or working on cars.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse with a small team of six assemblers. Each assembler has their own workbench and tools. The work is not assembly line-based, and duties vary daily, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment. The shift is flexible, with the ability to choose 8 hours between 6am and 5pm, though a consistent schedule is required.
