Job Description

We are hiring 4 experienced Maintenance Mechanics for our night shift. This position requires working 4 days on, 4 days off, from 6 PM to 6 AM. Candidates must be open to working any day of the week as the days will rotate. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, rebuilding, and maintaining plant equipment, with a focus on electrical/PLC, robotics, mechanical, hydraulics/pneumatics, welding, machining, and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, rebuild, and maintain plant equipment.
  • Maintain and repair heavy industrial machinery, including plant equipment, piping systems, fluid power systems, cutting, burning, and all types of welding.
  • Troubleshoot aluminum extrusion presses and auxiliary equipment, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
  • Read, follow, and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Promote, support, and enforce ISO 9001 elements as they apply to the maintenance department.
  • Contribute to safety and environmental programs to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Perform maintenance duties in a team environment and independently with little or no supervision.
  • Own safety processes and perform maintenance safety program audits, including Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, and mobile equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and make repairs or improvements as needed.
  • Work with Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Physical Distribution to maintain services for the plant.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate electronic backlog of all Work Requests and Work Orders, in cooperation with maintenance planners.
Essential Skills
  • 4+ years of experience as a maintenance technician maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery.
  • Experience troubleshooting aluminum extrusion presses and auxiliary equipment, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, PLCs, wire installation/termination, combustion, power distribution, electronics process control computers, conduit threading, schematics, bending and installation, AC and DC drives, and welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 elements and their applicability to the maintenance department.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and OSHA requirements (preferred).
