We are looking to bring on a Staff/AP Accountant to our team located in Waipahu, Hawaii. In this role, you will execute vital accounting tasks, including the management of bills, reimbursements, checks, and credit card requests. This position provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will play an integral part in maintaining the financial health of our operations. Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of bills, reimbursements, checks, and credit card requests utilizing QuickBooks and assigned systems.

• Perform monthly reconciliations for designated banks and credit cards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Assist in gathering necessary documents for funding requests and audit processes.

• Oversee the transfer of funds between accounts, maintaining financial stability and organization.

• Uphold confidentiality and maintain meticulous upkeep of customer/vendor files.

• Preparation and filing of 1099 forms, Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices, and grants, ensuring compliance and precision.

• Manage designated email addresses, handling both outgoing and incoming emails efficiently.

• Order and manage office supplies, ensuring smooth operation.

• Position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• Candidate should be adept in maintaining and managing the General Ledger.
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries effectively is required.
• Experience with Month End Close process is a must.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software is essential.
