Job Description: Access Control/CCTV systems apprentice technician

We have immediate openings with great growth potential. This is an opportunity for a career, not just a job. We need someone who is intelligent, reliable, physically fit, and has strong mechanical and electronic trouble shooting skills or the desire and ability to be trained. Must take pride in doing a job right and be willing to do any kind of manual labor required. We work with everything from ditch digging to configuring computer networks, from industrial parking lots to multimillion-dollar club houses. Technicians need to be capable physical outdoor labor and customer relations.

Min Education: High School
Preferred Field Experience: 4 years electrical/access control industry/HVAC or Similar

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Reliable person that can work closely with coworkers in a team setting with a strong commitment to being present to work every day to ensure the team can commit to and achieve time sensitive deadlines.
• Ability and desire to perform physical labor outdoors in full sun Florida summer for 8 + hours a day, 40 + hours a week.
• Take part in the normal on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service.
• Handles all duties with accuracy and detail.
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Service Mgr
• Maintain records and logs as required.
• Ability and desire to work as a subordinate to perform heavy physical tasks and hard labor while learning all aspects of ACT service and installation.
• Ability to take direction in the field.
• Ability and desire to pull wire through attics, work with loop saws to cut and work on roadways.
• Maintain records and logs as required.

BENEFICIAL ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
• Understanding of access control, and CCTV, systems design, and functionality.
• Comfort level and general ability to learn software and software driven hardware to make programming changes to recording devices as well as access control panels in the field via laptop computer, keypad or local programmer.
