HR Generalist

Robert Half HR Solutions is assisting a client located in Cordele, GA with identifying talent for a Contract HR Generalist. As an HR Generalist, your main role will be to manage the day-to-day employee relations, HR compliance, onboarding, and benefits. This role will last 3 months and is onsite 5 days per week and the hours are 8-5 pm with flexibility to begin earlier at 7 or 7:30 am. Due to the nature of the environment, you must begin each day by 8 am.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with HR regulations and policies
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues
• Administer employee benefits and handle related queries
• Use Paylocity for HR tasks
• Maintain open lines of communication with employees and management
• Handle FMLA and other related matters
• Recruit and onboard new hires as needed
• Plan employee events
• Handle daily HR activities that arise

Manufacturing industry strongly preferred and the HRIS system is Paylocity. This HR Generalist role is very hands on with heavy interaction with employees. Stong communication skills are required to be successful in this role Multi-site HR experience desired as this role will require travel twice per month to another site in South Georgia.

Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, to manage and streamline recruitment processes

Familiarity with Benefit Functions, to ensure employee benefits are effectively administered

Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear and effective interaction across all levels of the organization

Solid understanding of Compliance requirements, to ensure all HR practices adhere to legal and company standards

Proficiency in Employee Relations, to manage, maintain and improve relationships between employees and management

Knowledge of FMLA, to manage leave requests and ensure compliance with federal laws

Experience with Paylocity preferred but not required, to efficiently handle and HR duties
