Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist

Location: Tacoma, Washington

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to support the development of students functional skills and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on each students unique goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students educational goals.
  • Educate families on strategies to support their childs development at home and in school.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure to practice occupational therapy in Washington.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive environment for all students.
