Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Order Selectors who can operate high reach forklifts from day one. This role involves picking orders and staging them for loading onto trucks. Currently, the pick sheets are paper-based but will transition to electronic and RF scanners. The work environment includes a freezer section (0 degrees, about 15% of the building), a refrigerator section (about 20% of the building), and a standard warehouse area maintained at 60-65 degrees due to the cooling effect of the other sections.

Responsibilities
  • Operate high reach forklifts from day one.
  • Pick orders accurately and stage them for loading onto trucks.
  • Use paper pick sheets with an upcoming transition to electronic and RF scanners.
  • Work in various sections of the warehouse, including freezer, refrigerator, and standard warehouse areas.
  • Operate pallet jacks and stand up forklifts.
  • Perform manual case picking using a forklift to bring pallets into alleys for hand-filling.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure accurate order picking.
  • Unload goods as needed.
  • High reach forklift operation experience.
  • Stand-up forklift experience.
  • Manual case picking experience.
  • Pallet jack operation skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners.
  • Inventory management.
Work Environment

Our facility is clean and organized but can be fairly cold due to the freezer and refrigerator sections. The warehouse currently operates with about 20 people, and we are expecting to grow substantially over the next year. Employees need to be flexible and comfortable working in any section of the warehouse as required.
