Pharmacist at Inpatient Hospital

Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist - Maternity Leave Coverage
Location: Doylestown, PA
Schedule: 32 hours per week

• On-site: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Choice of either Tuesday or Thursday for the additional day
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• No holidays, weekends, or on-call duties

Skills & Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist License
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy, particularly behavioral health (PGY-2 or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of TJC (The Joint Commission) standards
• Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
• Ability to order and manage lab work

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Rounds: Participate in patient rounds from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, providing expertise on psychotropic medications, therapeutic drug monitoring (e.g., Lithium, Depakote), and metabolic monitoring.
• Liaison with LTC Pharmacy: Work closely with Polaris LTC pharmacy, resolving issues to ensure timely delivery and access to medications.
• Administrative Functions:
  • Auditing data
  • Chairperson for Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee
  • Overseeing Pain Management Stewardship
  • Attending Medical Executive Committee (MEC) meetings
  • Supporting Antimicrobial Stewardship initiatives
• TJC Preparation: Perform monthly medication room inspections and assist with preparations for The Joint Commissions anticipated visit (expected in February).
