The Electrical Estimator’s responsibility includes creating, reviewing and tracking customer requests for estimates, creating project scopes of work, creating cost estimates, following up on submitted estimates, creating/reviewing and delivering job start packages, and reviewing completed jobs and margins to identify estimate improvements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops accurate and detailed scopes of work for the electrical and related worked.
- Responsible for developing comprehensive and accurate estimates for assigned projects including labor, materials, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Utilizes cost estimation software to generate estimates and maintain comprehensive project records.
- Manages and prioritizes estimating workload to ensure timely responses and submittals, meeting customer deadlines.
- Reviews and assesses submitted estimates, incorporating customer feedback to ensure competitive pricing. Offer suggestions for cost savings, as needed.
- Identify potential project risks and bring them forward for discussion, and mitigation strategies.
- Interfaces directly with customers throughout the bidding process.
- Collaborates with internal and external teams to solicit pricing and provide complete bid packages, maintaining ownership throughout the entire bidding process.
- Requests and evaluates pricing for bonds, sales tax, insurance, prevailing wage, and other project-specific requirements.
- Reviews historical project data and lessons learned with construction teams to improve pricing model accuracy.

In addition to the above, other required qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred or 5 years of experience.
- 4+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical estimating.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as ProEst.
- Understanding of construction materials, methods, and terminology.
- Experience with commercial building and electrical codes, preferably Industrial Solar projects.
