Essential Job Functions:

  • As a Quality Producibility Engineer, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll ensure new products are manufacturable and lead improvements for existing products
  • You'll be the quality technical authority on potential non-conformities, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance the manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs
  • Lead manufacturing: Collaborate with various teams to meet cost, delivery, and safety targets
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions
  • Technical Quality Packages: Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production components
  • High-Performance Culture: Champion continuous improvement within the team
  • Concession Assessment: Assess internal/external concessions resulting in quality issues
  • Lessons Learned: Integrate lessons learned into methods and designs to improve quality, cost, delivery, and lead time
  • Production Support: Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operations
  • Familiarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processes
  • Experience with sheet metal parts, castings, complex machined parts, welded, and brazed fabrications
  • Continuous improvement, root cause investigation, and lean techniques experience
  • Experience with heat exchangers and pipework assemblies is desirable
  • Successful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in engineering management or operations
  • Previous roles as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors
  • Strong manufacturing engineering background with expertise in the design and definition of complex products
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in product (cost, manufacture, maintenance, build)
  • Proven technical and professional in a team of Engineers and manufacturing disciplines
  • Experience in leading change across a business
  • Practical experience in a production or supply chain facility in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience in New Product Introduction, Industrialization, Production, and related processes
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Ability to work in office and shop floor environments
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
