Our client, a mid-size manufacturing company is seeking a Sr. Accountant. The Sr. Accountant is a key member of the accounting/finance team which will have a verity of responsibilities which includes month-end close processes, variance analysis, and standard costing. Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist in the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded appropriately.

·      Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

·      Conduct thorough variance analysis, identifying and explaining differences between actual results and budgeted figures.

·      Monitor and analyze standard costs, providing insights to management for cost control and efficiency improvements.

·      Calculate and review overhead and absorption rates to ensure accurate product costing.

·      Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

·      CPA or CMA a plus

·      4+ years related experience in manufacturing

·      Advanced Microsoft Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables

·      ERP systems experience
