Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Mexico Beach, Florida

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and contribute to the success of our students.

Job Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with a range of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. This role requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the specific needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to students with speech and language disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and school staff to support students' communication development.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional input on student progress and setting goals.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Florida.
  • Certification from the Florida Department of Education as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
