Position Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for a K-5 Behavior Support Classroom in Griffin, GA area. This role will support students with eligibilities including Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD), Other Health Impairment (OHI), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Autism (AUT). The teacher will manage a caseload of 7-8 students, providing tailored educational strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student needs.
- Utilize behavioral management techniques and interventions.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in special education.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with EBD, OHI, ADD, and AUT.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
