Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support students academic and social development.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
  • Manage behavior plans and provide necessary accommodations to meet students' needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CT Special Education Certification.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
