We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant that is 100% remote. The role involves maintaining financial records and ensuring accurate financial transactions within our Finance team. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for complex financial reports, revenue predictions, and balance sheets in addition to providing guidance to support staff. This job requires 2-3+ years in Property and Casualty Insurance Accounting. No Exceptions.  Open to profiles from any state EXCEPT NY, ND, Ohio, Wyoming, and Washington State.


Responsibilities:


• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses

• Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded

• Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger

• Guide or review the work of support staff in the accounting or finance department

• Utilize accounting or business software such as Microsoft Excel, Access, GL software, and Database management software

• Manage the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and take appropriate action on customer accounts

• Leverage your experience in PNC Insurance Accounting and finance-related tasks

• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for daily tasks.

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• A minimum of two-three years of experience in an Property & Casualty Insurance accounting role .

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Demonstrated ability to handle bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management.

• Experience in creating and managing journal entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with month-end close processes.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
