Pharmacist - Indiana

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacist at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Winamac, Indiana. This is a direct hire, full-time position offering a great opportunity for new graduates and experienced pharmacists alike to develop their skills in an inpatient setting.

General Job Duties:

• Accurately fill medication orders for inpatient and outpatient use.
• Review and verify technician-prepared products before release.
• Ensure the security of the pharmacy, including controlled substances.
• Accurately enter patient orders and information into the system.
• Assist in the training and development of new pharmacy staff.
• Keep the Director of Pharmacy updated on daily activities and workflow.
• Assist the Director in maintaining the overall pharmacy operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Experience with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Licensure & Certification:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Indiana.

Schedule & Additional Requirements:

• Full-Time: 30 hours per week.
• Weekend rotation required.
• On-call duty after full training is completed.
• Floating to other units/departments, including outpatient pharmacy, as needed.
