Our mission is to promote the social, emotional, and academic success of all students. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled School Social Worker with a Maryland LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C to join our team.

Position Overview:
The School Social Worker will provide essential support to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and munity resources to ensure that students receive the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students social and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide direct counseling services to students, including individual and group therapy.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop strategies that promote positive behavior and academic success.
  • Connect families with munity resources and services, including mental health support and advocacy.
  • Participate in student IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Stay current with best practices and trends in school social work and mental health.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Valid Maryland LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C license.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents preferred.
  • Strong munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and practices is a plus.
