About the Job:

We are looking for CNA's to carry out our mission to provide compassionate and excellence. The certified nursing assistants help perform critical tasks that ensure patients are well-cared for and safe during their hospital stay. Checking vital signs, keeping patients clean, and other duties like this are extremely important for patient care and satisfaction. The CNA is a trained and dependable individual that assists in efficiently providing patient care to help maintain individual personal needs, comfort, and skilled care under the supervision of the nursing staff. The shift is from 6pm to 6:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays. Furthermore, this position will be primarily based in the Hospital, however, you will be expected to cross train and float to the nursing home and the Common's Assisted Living facility when the need arises.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids the professional nursing staff.
  • Delivers direct care to patients as directed by the RN or LPN. Always maintains patient comfort and safety.
  • Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Represents the facility with integrity and treats every resident with dignity and respect.
  • Follows nurse instructions to perform procedures.
  • Performs other related work as required or requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required
  • Illinois CNA certificate is required
  • CPR card is required
  • Stellar customer service skills are required
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems is required
  • Ability to work independently with little general supervision is required
  • Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job
