School Psychologist | Harrison, OH | Full-Time Position for the 2024-2025 School Year

Position Overview:

Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Harrison, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, aligned with the districts academic calendar
School Environment: A student-centered, collaborative atmosphere committed to supporting students' mental and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • IEP Development: Work with IEP teams to create and implement individualized plans that address student-specific needs.
  • Counseling Services: Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Collaboration: Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that promote student success both academically and socially.
  • Mental Health Promotion: Advocate for mental health awareness and provide training on behavioral interventions and emotional support.
  • Crisis Intervention: Participate in crisis intervention and offer support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid School Psychologist certification in Ohio or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral interventions, and mental health support.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
