SLP Responsibilities:
- Evaluate speech and language challenges in students.
- Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to foster student progress.
SLPA Responsibilities:
- Assist in therapy implementation under the supervision of an SLP.
- Record and monitor the progress of students during therapy sessions.
- Support teachers and school staff to ensure continuity in care.
Requirements:
- SLP: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and ASHA certification.
- SLPA: Associate's degree from an accredited SLPA program and current state certification required.
