We are in search of a Medical Collections Specialist to join our team located in Wilmington, Delaware. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be a part of a medical practice industry. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will manage a variety of tasks including medical claim follow-up, patient customer service, mailings, and more.


Responsibilities

• Handle medical claim follow-up tasks, including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Workers Comp, and Auto Claims

• Provide excellent patient customer service to ensure their needs are met

• Carry out mailings as part of customer communication strategy

• Execute collection efforts to ensure timely payment of medical services

• Assist in rebilling claims to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Support with the preparation and sending out of patient statements

• Utilize Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to manage customer credit

• Apply knowledge of Appeals, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Collection Processes, and Medical Billing in daily tasks.
