Special Education Teacher Position - Hopewell, VAPosition Overview:

We are seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for full-time roles in the Hopewell, VA area. Join our team and provide vital support to students with special needs, ensuring adherence to local and state educational standards.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Must have or be eligible for Special Education Teacher certification in Virginia.
  • Experience: Experience in special education is preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and state special education regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • IEP Management: Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
  • Instruction Delivery: Provide instruction that aligns with IEP goals and objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive educational settings.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress and modify instructional methods as needed.
  • Use of Resources: Implement assistive technology and specialized materials to support student learning.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and confidential records of student progress and participation.
  • Meetings & Development: Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and engage in professional development opportunities.
