We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator for Large Commercial Construction Projects. This challenging yet rewarding role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the estimating process for large-scale commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ground-up commercial construction, estimating, and project management, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a dynamic and innovative team, working on some of the most exciting commercial construction projects in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the estimating process for large commercial construction projects, from initial concept to final bid submission.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather all necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Utilize advanced software tools such as Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam for estimating and project management tasks.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential challenges and develop contingency plans.
  • Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials.
  • Participate in the negotiation and awarding of contracts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and construction techniques to ensure competitive bidding.
  • Present estimates and conduct bid reviews with senior management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in project estimating, with experience in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software, including Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and deliver accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Estimator Certification (e.g., CPE, PMP) is a plus.
