Job SummaryThe Warehouse Operator IV is responsible for various warehouse operations within a high-volume distribution center. This role includes operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the picking, packing, and shipping processes. The operator will work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handling equipment such as stand-up dock trucks, order/stock pickers, sit-down forklifts, tugger/carts, and walkie riders.
  • Perform tasks including picking, packing/auditing, loading, replenishment, cycle counting, and receiving/put away functions.
  • Maintain forklift certification and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators, and outbound staff to reconcile open issues.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area for efficient team operations.
  • Provide feedback to leads and supervisors on daily incidents to improve processes.
  • Monitor work performance to cultivate a sense of pride and urgency in task completion.
  • Address ineffective or counterproductive processes and suggest improvements.
  • Utilize calibration equipment with a high level of attention to detail.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of material handling experience with equipment including stand-up dock trucks, order/stock pickers, and sit-down forklifts.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a high-volume distribution center or large retail operation.
  • Computer skills required, including experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with various departments and report issues promptly.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or PKMS Warehouse Management System preferred.
  • 2-3 years of direct operations experience.
  • Experience with calibration equipment and understanding of related processes.
