Job Description

Provide shipping, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and data entry services for finished goods, inventory, and equipment at the assigned facility. Ensure high-quality processing of items for storage or shipment, adhering to established procedures and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and amount of materials received.
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
  • Complete training requirements and operate within all standards pertaining to site Distribution.
  • Follow Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) practices by completing training.
  • Respond to customer service and external department inquiries regarding order requirements and fulfillment issues.
  • Operate RF Scanner for transactions.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, calculate, and analyze team metrics.
  • Intermediate computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.
  • Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and meet schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift experience is a must.
  • Some warehouse and logistics experience preferred, especially with a life science company.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse environment performing highly repetitive tasks. The role involves continuous walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate to high. Flexibility to work any shift, varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed is required. The work environment may vary in stress levels. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
