LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable company that is actively seeking a skilled Tax Preparer to join their team and contribute to their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

  • Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.

  • Interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances.

  • Use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients' taxes to a minimum.

  • Complete tax forms in accordance with policies and in compliance with legislation and regulations.

  • Calculate and invoice for form preparation fees.

  • Check data input or verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures.

  • Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns.

  • Develop financial plans for clients with specialized needs.

  • Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion.

  • Answer questions and provide future tax planning to clients.

  • Ensure a copy of the completed return is provided to the customer.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role.

  • Solid understanding of tax preparation software and MS Office.

  • Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.

  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.

  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Pay: $20-$24/HR



Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
