ProCare Therapy is seeking an experiencedSpecial Education Teacherin Bay City, TXfor the 2024/2025 school year with the opportunity to renew for the next school year. The ideal candidate will support students with special needs to help them achieve their educational goals.This dynamic role is a full-time position with benefits provided by ProCare Therapy.

Job Type:

  • This position isfull-time, on site.
  • 2024-2025 school year: Start ASAP
  • Teacher will manage a caseload of 5 students, with the assistanceof one paraprofessional.The classroom is a self-contained, special needs classroom.
  • The candidate should exhibit mastery of managing challenging student behaviors.
  • Early Childhood Classroom
  • Teacher will demonstrate proficiency in educating students with special needs through use of evidence based practices.
  • Teacher will support emotional needs of students.
  • More details will be given at time of interview.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Special Education OR degree specific to teaching students with special needs
  • Must have a current Special Education (SPED) certification in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience in schools in preferred but NOT required.

  • Highly competitive compensation that is paid weekly. Depending on experience and job requirements, the salary range is $32-40/hour.
