Virtual Sign Language Interpreter (Full-Time)

Location: Remote (Supporting Students in Louisiana)

We are currently looking for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our remote network and support students across Louisiana. This full-time role offers the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on students' academic success.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter who can deliver high-quality interpretation services during live, online classes. Your work will ensure that students in Louisiana can fully participate in their educational programs, helping to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation in real-time during virtual classroom sessions, facilitating clear communication between students and educators.
  • Utilize VocoVisions advanced digital tools to create an interactive and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Adapt your interpretation methods to suit individual student needs, ensuring their active involvement in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with educators to support the students learning goals and overcome communication barriers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must have an EIPA score of 3.0 or higher.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
  • A passion for supporting students' educational journeys and a commitment to accessibility.
