We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role is in the industry of finance, where the individual will be tasked with supporting various accounting duties within our organization. The job function will involve maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, preparing financial reports, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.


Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports

• Maintaining the general ledger and conducting account reconciliations

• Collaborating on audit preparations to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Managing various processes and reports to enhance efficiency

• Utilizing a solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all tasks

• Applying strong financial analysis skills to review and interpret financial data

• Employing excellent Excel skills for data management and analysis

• Embracing new challenges and working effectively under pressure

• Demonstrating detail-oriented and highly organized work ethics

• Operating with minimal supervision and assuming ownership of tasks when required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Minimum of two years' experience in an accounting role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Experience with accounting software systems
• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
